In Italy since the start of the pandemic there are 271,515 cases of coronavirus: +1,326 compared to yesterday when they were + 978 (+996 on August 31). The number of deaths amounts to 35,497: +6 compared to yesterday when they were +8 (+6 the day before). The swabs processed in the last 24 hours were 102,959 (for a total of 8,828,868 1): an increase compared to yesterday, when they were 81,050 (58,518 as of August 31). This is what emerges from the data of the Ministry of Health and Civil Protection.
Those cured continue to grow, reaching 208,201 (+257). It also increases the number of positives currently, which are now 27,817 (+1,063). The pressure on hospital structures also increases slightly with the number of hospitalized patients returning to 1,437 (+57 with an increase of 4.13%) and that of patients in intensive care rising to 109 (+2 with an increase of 1.87%). The positives in home isolation are 26,271 (+1,004 with an increase of 3.97%).
Regions with zero infections
Only the Molise region today registers zero infections. Two new cases for Basilicata and Valle d’Aosta, followed by all the others. The highest number of new infections was recorded in Lombardy with 237, followed by Veneto with 163, Lazio with 130, Campania with 117, Emilia-Romagna with 107.
Lombardy
In Lombardy, the most affected region, new infections are +237 precisely compared to yesterday, when they were +242. There are 17,082 buffers per day (bringing the total to 1,630,115), up from 16,200 yesterday (9,866 on August 31). The total of deaths amounts to 16,869: +2 compared to yesterday, when they were also +2. The number of people recovered and discharged continues to increase: 76,407 (+39)). The number of hospitalized patients increased slightly: 220 (+8), and also that of patients in intensive care: 22 (+1).
Milan is confirmed as the most affected province and also the one with the highest number of new cases: 89 (yesterday 114), of which 57 (yesterday 67) in the city of Milan. They are followed by Brescia with 28 (yesterday 43) and Bergamo with 25 (yesterday 11).
