  • Wednesday 02 September 2020

237 new positives were found in Lombardy, 25 of which in the province of Bergamo, compared to 17,082 swabs performed. The ratio between the number of new and positive swabs is 1.38%. Increase in cured and discharged patients (+39) and in the province of Sondrio there are no infections. The number of people admitted to intensive care is one more than yesterday (22 in total), while the number of people admitted to other wards increased by 8 units, for a total of 220. These are the main data from the report published on Wednesday, September 2 by the Lombardy Region on the coronavirus. “The increase in positive cases – underlines the Region in the note accompanying today’s data – in Lombardy as in the other regions, must always be related to the number of swabs performed. Without ever forgetting that, if we think in terms of absolute comparisons, the number of inhabitants of Lombardy is equal to 1/6 of the national population. Like every day, on the home page of the Lombardy Region website (www.regione.lombardia.it), there is a navigable panel with all the updated data.
