Region report sent to the Ministry. The average age of those infected is 25 years.
CAGLIARI. “One in two positives left Sardinia with symptoms.” This is what emerges from a report from the Lazio Region, published in some newspapers. The report, sent to the Ministry, was prepared by Seresmi (Regional Service for the surveillance of infectious diseases) and by the virology laboratory of the Lazzaro Spallanzani institute.
Among the “764 cases with epidemiological links with the region of Sardinia”, it appears in the document that “449 (59%) are cases with symptoms”. For some time, the Lazio region has asked for swabs to be carried out on boarding even when leaving the island. The report also shows that 43% of positives were discovered through “contact tracing.” The average age of those infected, subjected to smears between August 1 and 28, would be 25 years. 70% is returned by ferry, 28% by plane and 2% by private transport.
