It was Patient 1, the first positive Italian discovered at the start of the pandemic in Codogno, the original Covid-19 outbreak in Lombardy. He, who had been in intensive care for weeks with his also infected wife who had given birth to their baby at the hospital, gives a sign of strength and hope.

He does so by placing a photo of his beloved family with a message and special thanks in the display case of the herbalist owned by his wife and mother-in-law in Casalpusterlengo, in the province of Lodi. The selection
An idea that the man had taking as a starting point the town’s patronal festival and the contest organized by the Municipality and the local Confcommercio with the theme “Viva l’Italia”. The store participated but did not pass the selections of the popular jury, much to the disappointment of the inhabitants who were waiting for it.
