In the last 30 days it has rained twice as much as the historical average has registered so far. The figure, indicative of the type of phenomenon that Trentino has also had to face, was debated this morning in the Giunta Room where, in the presence of the President of the Province and the Director General of the Department, the different sectors of Civil Protection reviewed what had been done . in the last 60 hours in what is technically called a “debriefing.”

From the firefighters to the roads, from the mountain basins to the Meteotrentino and then again to the geological survey, 112 and risk prevention, transport, mountain rescue, cloud, red cross, all underscored how fortunately Trentino endured.

We are still on yellow alert, but the flooding phenomenon is considered controlled, with teams that are following some sources and checking the bridges over the rivers, a procedure that, among other things, is useful for planning the next maintenance interventions.
In emergency management, many factors have been decisive, starting from the great attention to weather forecasts, constantly updated to recognize critical situations in time and intervene in advance to minimize the effects. Virtually all volunteer fire brigades in action.

Particular attention was paid to the Sarca, which even exceeded the level reached during the Vaia storm, but the flood – experts said – passed quickly yesterday and without major damage.
The great work of technicians and volunteers received the applause of the president of the province who last night followed the operations in the flood room during the hours when it was feared that they would be forced to open the Adige Garda Galletia. Fortunately, this did not happen also thanks to the competence and capacity for emergency management that characterizes the civil emergency system to which a sincere thanks goes once again.
