A 46-year-old man who was in the Valle dell’Inferno forest, above Ornica, was rescued.
They were in the forest of Valle dell’Inferno, above Ornica, when they saw a man on the ground and immediately called for help. Rescue Sunday, August 30, 2020, a 46-year-old man residing in the Bergamo area, struck by lightning.
The headquarters of the Cnsas Lombardia (National Alpine Rescue and Regional Speleological Corps) sent the Alpine Rescue teams, VI Orobica Delegation, the self-doctor and the ambulance, together with the Saf nucleus of the Fire Department.
The rescuers, eleven technicians involved, plus the Areu (Regional Emergency Emergencies Company) health team, reached him, stabilized him and took him to the ambulance. At the time of the intervention, a severe storm was occurring, so much so that the Sondrio rescue helicopter was not able to take off. The man was taken to the hospital. The intervention ended at 3:00 p.m.
