(ANSA) – BOLZANO, AUGUST 30 – In the city of Chiusa there was a flood of the Isarco river. Civil Protection has invited the population to leave the streets and public squares, and move to the upper floors of the buildings. The Brennero railway line is currently closed. The wave of the flood is coming to the city of Egna. The residents of some streets in the municipality of Egna are previously evacuated. Evacuees are invited to seek shelter with relatives. The high school gym is also available as emergency accommodation.

In the Isarco Valley, heavy traffic on the highway and on the main road makes it difficult to install a replacement bus service. Even in Bassa Atesina the situation is very critical; Continuous checks are carried out to decide whether the closure of the railway line is also necessary here. (HANDLE).
