Coronavirus, positive cases in Puglia amount to 69. Bari remains concerned but there are no deaths

In Apulia, 2,708 tests of coronavirus infection were recorded and 69 cases were positive: 41 in the province of Bari, 8 in the province of Bat, one in the province of Brindisi, 14 in the province of Foggia, one in the province of Lecce, 4 in the province of Taranto. No deaths were recorded.

Since the beginning of the emergency, 303,046 tests have been carried out, 4,029 are cured patients and 817 are currently positive cases.

In particular, there are 41 positive cases in the province of Bari: 17 cases with symptoms that have been treated by the emergency room about which there are ongoing investigations, 16 cases found in the contact tracing activity of the prevention department, 4 returns from Sardinia, one from Sicily, one from Greece and two patients who underwent swabs according to protocol before performing a health service.

In the bat of the 8 positives, 4 returned from Sardinia and one from Bulgaria, while the case registered in Lecce refers to a resident who returned from Malta.

The 14 new positives for covid19 in Foggia are from 4 foreign citizens, 6 people returning from Campania; two symptomatic people, identified thanks to the recommendation of general practitioners and two identified during the screening activity. The cases registered in the province of Taranto go back to contacts with already identified Covid cases and to a small outbreak in the peripheral spa, Riva De Tessali, where, according to the ASL, all cases have been circumscribed.

The only case registered today in the Brindisi area refers to a person who manifested symptoms compatible with the coronavirus and was subjected to a swab. It is currently in fiduciary isolation and the rebuilding of the network of contacts is underway.
