From this morning bad weather has also hit the Lecco area. The new Lecco-Ballabio is closed.

A river of debris and mud around noon invaded the district of Laorca in the upper part of the city, descending through the internal roads to later lead to the provincial highway. There would be no major damage, but the basements and garages were flooded. Fortunately, traffic was low at the time.

A Viganò in via Risorgimento, lightning struck a tree near the post office.

A Valvarrone on the border with Vestreno there was a landslide on provincial highway 67, where clean-up operations are being carried out.

A Bellano the heavy rain that fell with the bright sun created an optical effect so much that it looked like snow, while in Brianza in the area around Cassago there was a strong hail storm.

Heavy storms also caused flooding along State Highway 36 from Abbadia in the direction of Lecco. At Piani Resinelli, on the other hand, there was a very constant hailstorm.

MINERAL 14.30 State highway 36 “Raccordo Lecco Valsassina” is temporarily closed to traffic in both directions from km 0 to km 9,015. The closure was necessary due to the flooding of the Valsassina tunnel, at km 1, in the municipality of Lecco, as a result of the heavy rains that affected the region in the last hours.
The road to Lecco is temporarily directed to the 62 provincial. Anas staff and the police are present at the scene to restore traffic as soon as possible.
