GROSSETO – In Tuscany there are 11,785 positivity cases to the Coronavirus, 98 more than yesterday (45 identified in the course of tracking and 53 from detection activities).
New cases are 0.8% more than the total of the previous day. Those cured grew by 0.2% and reached 9,141 (77.6% of all cases). The tests carried out reached 535,080, 6,433 more than yesterday.

Of the 98 positivities to date, 24 cases may be linked to returns from abroad, of which 4 for vacation reasons (3 Greece, 1 Spain). 14 cases can be linked to returns from other Italian regions (13 Sardinia, 1 more). 31% of the cases is a contact linked to a previous case.
It should be remembered that as of 06/24/2020, the Ministry of Health has modified the data collection system on the spread of Covid-19. Positive cases are no longer indicated by province of notification but by province of residence or domicile.

The people hospitalized in the beds dedicated to COVID patients today are a total of 53 (4 more than yesterday, 8.2% more), 5 in intensive care (stable compared to yesterday).
In total there are 9,141 people cured (16 more than yesterday, plus 0.2%): 147 clinically cured people (14 more than yesterday, plus 10.5%), that is, who became asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with Infection and 8,994 ( 2 more than yesterday, plus 0.02%) declared cured in all aspects, the so-called viral cures, with double negative swab.
Therefore, there are 1,141 deaths since the beginning of the epidemic divided as follows: 417 in Florence, 52 in Prato, 81 in Pistoia, 175 in Massa Carrara, 146 in Lucca, 91 in Pisa, 63 in Livorno, 50 in Arezzo , 33 in Siena, 25 in Grosseto, 8 people died on Tuscan soil but were residents outside the region.
Tuscany’s crude death rate (number of deaths / resident population) for Covid-19 is 30.6 x 100,000 residents versus 58.8 x 100,000 for the Italian average (11th region). Regarding the provinces, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (89.8 x 100 000), Florence (41.2 x 100 000) and Lucca (37.6 x 100 000), the lowest in Grosseto (11.3 x 100,000).
