(ANSA-AFP) – BERLIN, AUGUST 30 – The German Interior Minister denounced the incidents that occurred yesterday in Berlin during the demonstration against restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic, with 300 arrests and an attempted aggression as “unacceptable” at night in parliament.
Seeing “extremists” try to break into the Reichstag building, the seat of the Chamber of Deputies and the “symbolic center of our democracy” is “unacceptable,” Horst Seehofer warned in particular in the Sunday edition of the Bild newspaper.
Last night, several hundred protesters broke through security barriers and a police blockade and climbed the stairs leading to the entrance to the Reichstag. The police prevented them from entering the building, used spray to disperse the crowd, and arrested several people. (ANSA-AFP).
