. «The violent rain on Friday – declares Giuseppe Astori, mayor of Oltre il Colle – has caused several damages in our municipal area. In the Piè Bracca area, in Zorzone, there was a landslide with debris, stones and water that invaded the municipal road, destroying it and interrupting its path. Here the road was closed because it was not practical and both two old men who live in the houses at the end of the road and the Tiraboschi farm with lots of cattle, always at the end of the road, were isolated ».

The discourse on the second landslide is different, which, for now at least, has not invaded any road

. “The other landslide – continues the mayor – descended in Val Carnera, where the stream, which descends from Menna and passes near the town of Zorzone and empties into Val Parina, overflowed upriver, but without dragging debris on the road below.

The downstream road that goes up to Zorzone has been closed to traffic and is supervised by the Civil Protection of the Brembana Valley for transit of need. It was a precautionary decision because, given the forecasts of severe bad weather also for the next few days, there is a risk that more intense rains will further disturb the slope and that debris will invade the road ”.
