The bad weather that began to affect Veneto and the province of Belluno this afternoon is already making its effects felt. In this regard, the regional councilor for civil protection, Gianpaolo Bottacin, reports that a tornado has occurred in Ponte nelle Alpi, in the Polpet-Nuova Erto area, with several homes without a roof for which the Vigili del Fuego together with the men of civil protection.
Another problem occurred in Peaio, in the municipality of Vodo di Cadore, where the flange placed upstream of the state highway is now full of material carried by the rising waters of the stream. Given the situation, an evaluation of the possible evacuation of downstream houses is being carried out to protect those who live there from a possible flooding of the waters.
It should be noted that also in other parts of Veneto bad weather is causing problems and damage, for example due to tornadoes, as in Arzignano (Vicenza) or Montecchia di Crosara (Verona).
