In Tuscany there are 11,687 cases of Coronavirus positivity, 92 more than yesterday (25 identified in the course of tracking and 67 from detection activities). New cases are 0.8% more than the total of the previous day.
Those cured grew by 0.2% and reached 9,125 (78.1% of all cases). The tests carried out reached 528,647; compared to 6,701 more yesterday. Today’s positives are 1,421 today, + 5.3% compared to yesterday. Today there are no new deaths. The average age of 92 cases today is 37 years approximately (32% are under 26 years old, 34% between 26 and 40 years old, 23% between 41 and 65 years old, 11% are over 65 years old) and, in terms of clinical states, 63% were asymptomatic, 25% pauci-symptomatic.
These are the data – verified at 12 noon today based on requests from the National Civil Protection – relative to the advance of the epidemic in the region.
The following are the cases of positivity in the area with the change compared to yesterday. There are 3,635 cases in total to date in Florence (18 more than yesterday), 616 in Prato (3 more), 818 in Pistoia (11 more), 1,210 in Massa (22 more), 1,513 in Lucca (4 more), 1,046 in Pisa (10 more), 549 in Livorno (1 more), 813 in Arezzo (19 more), 508 in Siena (3 more), 466 in Grosseto (1 more). There are 513 positive cases reported in Tuscany, but residing in other regions.
Of the 92 current positives, 5 cases may be related to returns from abroad, of which 1 for vacation reasons (Croatia); 20 are related to you come from other italian regions (13 Sardinia, 7 others). 45% of the cases is a contact linked to a previous case.
It should be remembered that as of 06/24/2020, the Ministry of Health has modified the data collection system on the spread of Covid-19. Positive cases are no longer indicated by province of notification but by province of residence or domicile. Therefore, there are 32 cases found today in the Central Local Health Authority, 37 in the Northwest, 23 in the Southeast.
Tuscany is confirmed in 10th place in Italy as a number of cases (including residents and non-residents), with around 313 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (Italian average around 440 x 100,000, yesterday’s figure).
The notification provinces with the highest rate are Massa Carrara with 621 cases x 100,000 inhabitants, Lucca with 390, Florence with 359, Livorno with 164.
In total, 1,372 people are isolated at home, as they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital care or do not have symptoms (74 more than yesterday, 5.7% more). There are 3,543 (185 more than yesterday, plus 5.5%) people, also isolated, under active surveillance for having had contact with infected people (Asl Centro 1,546, Northwest 1,356, Southeast 641).
The people hospitalized in the beds dedicated to Covid patients today are a total of 49 (2 less than yesterday, minus 3.9%), 5 in intensive care (1 more than yesterday, plus 25%). In total there are 9,125 people cured (20 more than yesterday, plus 0.2%): 133 people clinically cured (4 more than yesterday, plus 3.1%), that is, they were left asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with Infection and 8,992 (16 more than yesterday, plus 0.2%) declared cured in all aspects, the so-called viral cures, with double negative swab.
Therefore they remain 1,141 deceased since the beginning of the epidemic divided as follows: 417 in Florence, 52 in Prato, 81 in Pistoia, 175 in Massa Carrara, 146 in Lucca, 91 in Pisa, 63 in Livorno, 50 in Arezzo, 33 in Siena, 25 in Grosseto, 8 people died on Tuscan soil but resided outside the region.

Tuscany’s crude death rate (number of deaths / resident population) for Covid-19 is 30.6 x 100,000 residents versus 58.8 x 100,000 for the Italian average (11th region). Regarding the provinces, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (89.8 x 100 000), Florence (41.2 x 100 000) and Lucca (37.6 x 100 000), the lowest in Grosseto (11.3 x 100,000).
