Heat and wind. This is the deadly mixture that has caused several fires in Rome and its province. From Casal Lumborso to the Roma Nord branch to Pomezia, rescuers are involved in several medium and large outbreaks.

Fire in Via del Pescaccio

Starting at 1:00 p.m. the firefighters intervened for a large bush fire in the area of ​​via del Pescaccio, in Casal Lumbroso at km 65 of the Grande Raccordo Anulare. The Operations Room sent four fire vehicles, some off-road civil protection modules and the Drago 125 helicopter for a reconnaissance from above of the situation. At the site there are also several patrols of the Rome Local Police Grupo Capitale Monteverde. DOS 4 also coordinates shutdown operations on site.

Ring road closed

According to Anas, the inner road of the Grande Raccordo Anulare in Rome, at km 66,800, at the Casal Lumbroso / Via del Pescaccio junction, has been temporarily closed to traffic, in the direction of Aurelia. The event also involved the edges of the road.

Another fire on a slope, which occurred at km 27,800 of the GRA, still forces the closure of the lane between via Nomentana and Centrale del Latte, both on the internal and external road, in the direction of the A24.

The Roma-Civitavecchia line was interrupted

Following the instructions of Dos-4, the personnel of the State Railways received instructions to temporarily suspend rail traffic and cut the tension on the Roma-Civitavecchia section.

Fires in Pomezia and on the A1 and in Casal Monastero

Simultaneously, a large fire has also developed in the areas of Pomezia, where ground personnel intervene in a joint operation between Firefighters and Civil Protection and on the A1 motorway, north branch 5.44 km with teams 10A, 18A2 .

Fires in Tivoli and Casal Monastero

Also in Rome, a fourth fire broke out in the Casal Monastero area, in the northeast quadrant of the capital. Scenario similar to that of Tivoli, with a vast column of smoke visible up to Guidonia Montecelio and the slope of the IV Tiburtino Municipality.
