A strong disturbance of Atlantic origin is expected in the afternoon of Friday, August 28 in our province.
A disturbed system of Atlantic origin tends to approach the northern regions of Italy, causing a gradual worsening of the meteorological conditions that will last for several days, with showers and thunderstorms even of strong intensity, especially near all the Alpine sectors.
Based on the available forecasts, the Ministry of Civil Protection, in agreement with the regions involved, which are in charge of activating the civil protection systems in the affected territories, has issued a warning of adverse weather conditions.. Meteorological phenomena, impacting the different areas of the country, could determine hydrogeological and hydraulic criticalities which are reported, in a national summary,
in the national criticality and alert bulletin available on the Department’s website.
The warning foresees scattered to diffuse rains, predominantly inverse or stormy, from the early morning of today, Friday, August 28, in Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Autonomous Province of Trento and Friuli Venezia Giulia.. The phenomena will be accompanied by heavy showers, frequent electrical activity, local hailstorms and strong gusts of wind.
Based on the expected and ongoing phenomena, an orange alert was evaluated for today, Friday, August 28, in the autonomous province of Bolzano and most of Lombardy, including the province of Bergamo, starting at 2 p.m.
In addition, the yellow alert was evaluated in Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, in the autonomous province of Trento, in the autonomous province of Bolzano, in the northern sectors of Piedmont and in the rest of the territory of Lombardy.
