The mayor of Lucoli, Valter Chiappini, after the health emergency that occurred in the area with an increase in infections, signed an ordinance with which a “red zone” was established in the Casamaina hamlet starting at midnight on 28 August. until midnight on September 1. “I am worried, but confident,” explains the mayor, “because the situation is under control. it was a precautionary choice, for a closure of five days and not 14 agreed with the Abruzzo Region and the ASL. “In the Municipality there are two outbreaks, one in the Casamaina hamlet, where there are ten positives, one of them in the hospital, and the other in the Casavecchia hamlet, where there are two, one in hospital and the other in home isolation with a first negative tampon, then there are about 40 people in quarantine.
The measures provided for by the mayor’s ordinance include the prohibition of expulsion from the territory of the village by all those present there and the prohibition of access. In any case, the return to home or residence within the village is allowed to those who, at the time of entry into force of this ordinance, were outside their own territory. The activities of public offices are suspended, without prejudice to the provision of essential services and public utility, and all productive and commercial activities with the exception of basic food stores.
