81 new cases, mean age 35 years

In Tuscany there are 11,595 cases of positivity for Coronavirus, 82 more compared to yesterday, August 27, of which 17 were identified in the course of screening and 65 in detection activities. The average age of 82 cases today is 35 years approximately (32% are under 26 years old, 36% between 26 and 40 years old, 23% between 41 and 65 years old, 9% are over 65 years old) and, in terms of clinical states, 67% were asymptomatic, 20% pauci-symptomatic. Of the 82 positives today, 20 cases may be linked to returns from abroad, of which 9 for vacation reasons (5 Greece, 3 Spain, 1 Croatia), 16 cases may be linked to returns from other Italian regions (11 Sardinia, 5 others), finally, 2 cases referring to citizens residing outside the region whose positivity was reported in Tuscany. 33% of the cases is a contact linked to a previous case.

The following are the cases of positivity in the area with the variation compared to yesterday, according to the province of domicile or residence: 3,617 in Florence (21 more than yesterday), 613 in Prato (5 more), 807 in Pistoia (1 in addition) , 1,188 in Massa (10 more), 1,509 in Lucca (5 more), 1,036 in Pisa (5 more)548 in Livorno (3 more), 794 in Arezzo (15 more), 505 in Siena (11 more), 465 in Grosseto (4 more). There are 513 positive cases reported in Tuscany, but residing in other regions (2 more). Therefore, there are 27 cases found today in the Central Local Health Authority, 23 in the Northwest, 30 in the Southeast.

Usually, 1,298 people are in solitary confinement at home, due to having mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are asymptomatic (73 more than yesterday, plus 6%). There are 3,358 (214 more than yesterday, plus 6.8%) people, also isolated, under active surveillance, because they have had contact with infected people (Asl Centro 1,507, Northwest 1,266, Southeast 585). The people admitted to beds dedicated to Covid patients today are a total of 51 (3 more than yesterday, plus 6.3%), 4 in intensive care (1 less than yesterday, less 20%).

People as a whole heal There are 9,105 (5 more than yesterday, plus 0.1%): 129 people clinically cured (stable compared to yesterday), that is, they were asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with the infection and 8,976 (5 more than yesterday, plus 0 , 1%) declared cured in all aspects, the so-called viral cures, with double negative buffer.

Today is registered a new death: a 68 year old man. Regarding the province of notification, the deceased is in Massa Carrara. 1,141 have died since the beginning of the epidemic as follows: 417 in Florence, 52 in Prato, 81 in Pistoia, 175 in Massa Carrara, 146 in Lucca, 91 to Pisa, 63 in Livorno, 50 in Arezzo, 33 in Siena, 25 in Grosseto, 8 people died on Tuscan soil but were residents outside the region.
