Maturity 2020: in the next few days the Ministry will publish the official ordinance. Meanwhile, the world of school is in crisis because there are still no indications at some points.
The interview
There will be no written evidence, only the interview in the presence of the internal Commission and the external President.
The Ministry has proposed “Each candidate will discuss, at the beginning of the interview, a document on the disciplines of leadership, which will deal with an agreed topic that the teachers of those disciplines will assign to each student before June 1.
The discussion will also include the discussion of a short text, which is already being studied in the context of teaching Italian language and literature during the fifth year. Reference will be made to the texts contained in the document prepared by the class council. The candidate will then analyze a material assigned by the commission, always consistent with the path taken. Finally, the experiences carried out in the context of the Routes for transversal skills and orientation will be exposed and the knowledge related to “Citizenship and Constitution” will be determined according to what the class really does “.
The CSPI, called to express its opinion, believes that a simplification of the examination is necessary. According to the CSPI, the five-point exploration proposed by the Ministry is too rigid, considering instead a multidisciplinary interview that allows the student to demonstrate the skills achieved at the end of the second cycle.
The evaluation table
The CSPI points out that until now there has never been a national evaluation table in the state exams and that the preparation of a table valid for all study directions may limit the autonomy of the commissions. Furthermore, a table prepared by the internal commission could better respond to situations that arose for that specific class after the health emergency.
Credits
The CSPI indicates that the possibility of redefining the credit attributed to the candidates in the third and fourth year was not indicated in the decree law, nor the possibility of restating the value of the credits for the fifth grade. In addition to some technical notes, no changes are required for credit conversion.
