THE WEATHER ITALY, THE SAND COMES FROM THE DESERT – In the coming days, Italy will remain repeatedly exposed to a tense flow of currents from the southwest, enhanced by the repeated impulse of a rift from northern Europe to Spain. This flow will drag the African anticyclone into part of Italy, exasperating the rise of very hot air directly from the desert of Algeria and Libya. Not only will the African heat increase, but also the sand of the Sahara desert, which will hit Italy for at least three days, but also a large part of the Mediterranean, the Balkans, and sometimes also parts of central Europe. The influx of Saharan dust will be substantial, particularly between Thursday and Friday, when the southwesterly winds will push harder from the African continent to the European.

RAIN ‘DIRTY’ IN THE NORTH – In the north, precipitation is expected, especially where they will be weak and will not reverse, or thunderstorms can also deposit the sand on the surfaces, dirtying them with the classic brown color (like cars).

HEAVY SKIES IN CENTROSUD – At the same time, in Centrosud, where the rains will be scarce or totally absent, the skies will be clouded not only by the passage of high and stratified clouds, but also by the suspended sand, which can thus give it the characteristic ‘yellowish’ color. This situation could continue over the weekend, although to a lesser extent. Upcoming updates coming soon.
