According to the reconstructions carried out by our intelligence in recent months, the girl was kept in a cave near the town of Buulo Fulaay, in the Somali region of Bahia. Then a long period of silence. News of a shooting spread during which she may have been injured. And it is only in November that positive indications are also leaking from the public prosecutor’s office in Rome: “She’s fine and she’s alive.”
It is a long and complex negotiation, during which a request is made redemption, which, as happened in the previous seizures, is sure to have been paid. In those areas, everyone is willing to voice their opinion to get money, but the risk of something happening is always just around the corner. For months, the special forces know where the hostage is, but it is impossible to intervene because the risk is too great. The last movie, on January 17, opens the door to the solution. But Mogadishu and Somalia are also under lock and key. We will have to wait until two nights ago, when the volunteer recovers after a bombardment and is protected at the United Nations complex.
