The number of coronavirus deaths in the United States flies to a record 4,591 in 24 hours. This is what emerges from an analysis by the Wall Street Journal on data from John Hopkins University. At 8:00 p.m., local deaths topped 4,500 in 24 hours, breaking the previous record of 2,569 deaths. Despite this, Trump presented his plan to reopen the United States.
Trump’s plan: “Reopen America”
The United States, already within expected standards, “can literally reopen tomorrow.” President Donald Trump said this during the press conference on new federal guidelines for reopening the United States after the coronavirus blockade. The new directive foresees three stages to ease the restrictions, in stages, if the listed criteria are met, even if the decision still rests with the governors. The first phase of easing places the fall of infections and hospitalizations for 14 consecutive days as the main condition and Trump has specified that States that already comply with these standards can reopen immediately.
