In Tuscany there are 13,114 cases of coronavirus positivity, 91 more than yesterday (17 identified in the course of screening and 74 from detection activities). New cases are 0.7% more than the total of the previous day. Those cured grew by 0.3% and reached 9,506 (72.5% of all cases). The tests carried out reached 630,201, 6,737 more than yesterday. The positives are currently 2,459 today, + 2.4% compared to yesterday. There are 97 hospitalized (5 more than yesterday), of which 17 in intensive care (1 less). Unfortunately, today there is 1 new death: an 86-year-old woman.

These are the data – verified at 12 noon today based on requests from the National Civil Protection – relative to the advance of the epidemic in the region.

The average age of 91 cases today is 44 years (20% are under 26, 29% between 26 and 40, 32% between 41 and 65, 19% are over 65) and As for the states 79% were asymptomatic, 13% pauci-symptomatic.

Of the 91 positives currently, 8 cases may be related to returns from abroad. 3 cases identified thanks to the controls activated in ports and stations with order n. 80 from the Tuscany Region, of which 2 refer to citizens residing outside the region. 42% of the cases is a contact linked to a previous case.

The following are the cases of positivity in the area with the change compared to yesterday. There are 3,927 cases in total to date in Florence (24 more than yesterday), 731 in Prato (11 more), 918 in Pistoia (4 more), 1,409 in Massa (12 more), 1,642 in Lucca (6 more). more), 1,233 in Pisa (6 more), 638 in Livorno (11 more), 996 in Arezzo (10 more), 550 in Siena (2 more), 533 in Grosseto (3 more). There are 537 positive cases reported in Tuscany, but residing in other regions (2 more).

Tuscany is confirmed in tenth place in Italy in terms of the number of cases (including residents and non-residents), with around 352 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (the Italian average is 474 x 100,000, yesterday’s figure). The notification provinces with the highest rate are Massa Carrara with 723 cases x 100,000 inhabitants, Lucca with 423, Florence with 388, Livorno with 191 the lowest.
In total, 2,362 people are isolated at home, as they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital care or do not have symptoms (52 more than yesterday, 2.3% more).
There are 4,101 (103 less than yesterday, less 2.5%) people, also isolated, in active surveillance because they have had contact with infected people (ASL Center 1,566, Northwest 1,830, Southeast 705).
There are 97 people admitted to beds dedicated to COVID patients today (5 more than yesterday, plus 5.4%), 17 in intensive care (1 less than yesterday, minus 5.6%).
In total, there are 9,506 people cured (33 more than yesterday, more 0.3%): 201 clinically cured people (9 more than yesterday, more 4.7%), that is, who were asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with infection and 9,305 (24 more than yesterday, plus 0.3%) declared cured in all aspects, the so-called viral cures, with double negative swab.

Unfortunately, today there is 1 new death: an 86-year-old woman who died in Pisa.

1,149 have died since the beginning of the epidemic as follows: 418 in Florence, 52 in Prato, 81 in Pistoia, 176 in Massa Carrara, 148 in Lucca, 93 in Pisa, 65 in Livorno, 50 in Arezzo, 33 in Siena , 25 in Grosseto, 8 people died on Tuscan soil but they were residents outside the region.

Tuscany’s crude death rate (number of deaths / resident population) for Covid-19 is 30.8 x 100,000 residents against 59.0 x 100,000 for the Italian average (11th region). Regarding the provinces, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (90.3 x100,000), Florence (41.3 x100,000) and Lucca (38.2 x100,000), the lowest in Grosseto (11.3 x 100,000).
