Infections continue to grow in Puglia, but most of the new positives come from Bari: this is what emerges from the usual and daily regional bulletin, prepared by the Department of Health Promotion, on the results of tests carried out in recent 24 hours.
There are 65 new positives out of 2,753 swabs for Covid-19 coronavirus infection, divided as follows: 56 in the province of Bari, 3 in the province of BAT, 5 in the province of Foggia, 1 in the province of Lecce. No deaths were recorded.
Since the beginning of the emergency, 300,338 tests have been carried out. 4,029 patients are cured and positives currently number 748.
The total number of Covid cases in Puglia is 5,333, divided as follows: 1,821 in the province of Bari, 432 in the province of Bat, 705 in the province of Brindisi, 1,357 in the province of Foggia, 668 in the Lecce province, 309 in Taranto province, 38 attributed to residents outside the region, 3 unknown province.
The APL prevention departments have activated all the procedures for the acquisition of anamnestic and epidemiological information, with the aim of tracing close contacts.
The cases in the Bari area mainly concern (29) citizens of the capital and the province who have returned from an organized bus trip in Calabria; eight are close contacts of already identified cases. The others are being studied in depth.
“The only case registered today by the Prevention Department is that of a resident of the province of Lecce,” explains Rodolfo Rollo, “who came into close contact with a positive from outside the Region.”
