The Ministry of Health bulletin also shows that the threshold of 5,000 hospitalized in ordinary wards has been exceeded: 5,076, 255 more than yesterday. Currently there are 87,193 positive, with an increase of 4,429 compared to Sunday: of these 81,603 are in home isolation (+4,112). Finally, 242,028 were discharged and cured, with an increase of 1,428.

Campania, 635 cases and 6 deaths
635 new cases of coronavirus emerged today in Campania from the analysis of 7,720 swabs. The total number of deaths in Campania since the beginning of the emergency amounts to 19,827, while the total number of swabs examined is 697,829. The Crisis Unit of the Campania Region reports that 6 deaths related to the coronavirus occurred in the last 3 days, but registered only today: the total of deaths in Campania since the beginning of the emergency is 485. There are 77 new cured: the total of those healed are 7,564.
Veneto, 485 cases and 7 deaths
In the last 24 hours, Veneto has recorded 485 more Covid infections and 7 victims. This was stated in the bulletin of the Region. There are no signs of slowing the new outbreak of infections in the region, which has an overall balance of 32,316 positives since the start of the epidemic. Deaths (among hospitals and nursing homes) amount to 2,226 (+7). The current positive figure also rises, 6,655 (+366), and the number of hospitalizations in normal hospital wards begins again, 362 (+23), and in intensive care, 41 (+4). With the search for contacts for the new outbreaks, the number of people in home isolation also increases, 11,683 (+664), of which 3,705 positive.
Tuscany, 480 cases and one death
There are 480 new cases of coronavirus in Tuscany, with an average age of 45 years. In the last 24 hours there was also a new death, a 97-year-old in Arezzo. These are the data – verified today at 12 o’clock on the basis of requests from the National Civil Protection – related to the progress of the epidemic published by the Tuscany Region. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, to date there are 19,106 cases of Coronavirus positivity in Tuscany. The 480 new cases are 2.6% more than the total of the previous day. Those cured grew 0.6% and reached 11,008 (57.6% of all cases). The swabs performed reached 856,638, 8,172 more than yesterday when they were more, 8,958 (and the day before still 11,394): a total of 5,395 subjects analyzed, excluding control swabs, of which 8, 9% tested positive.
The current positives are 6,917 today, + 6.3% compared to yesterday. There are 262 hospitalized in the Covid squares (17 more than yesterday), of which 44 in intensive care (4 more). In terms of deaths, 1,181 have died since the start of the epidemic. In general, there are also 6,655 people in isolation at home, since they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or do not have symptoms (396 more than yesterday, plus 6.3%). There are 14,484 (1,676 more than yesterday, plus 13.1%) people, also isolated, under active surveillance, for having had contact with infected people.
Emilia Romagna, 341 cases and 2 deaths
There are 341 new cases of positivity registered in the last 24 hours in Emilia-Romagna, 158 of which are asymptomatic. To identify them, 13,344 swabs were made. There are two deaths, an 82-year-old man in the province of Bologna and a 79-year-old man in the province of Ferrara. Therefore, the total number is 4,498. But, as has been happening for a few days, the increase in hospitalizations is especially worrying: there are 31, six more than yesterday, in intensive care and 323, with an increase of 39 in one day, in the rest of the Covid wards. Regarding the situation of the provinces, the highest figures are registered in Bologna (69), Modena (61) and Parma (58).
Sardinia, 157 cases and 2 deaths
The number of Covid 19 infections in Sardinia continues to grow and the number of deaths is increasing: today there are two deaths reported by the Regional Crisis Unit, a 92-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man. There are 157 new cases, 2,466 tampons in more performed. There are 164 hospitalized patients, with a further increase in those in intensive care, which has now risen to 26. There are 2,710 people in home isolation, 161 recovered. Of the 5,295 positive cases verified in total, 832 (+38) were detected in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, 668 (+36) in the south of Sardinia, 410 (+11) in Oristano, 788 (+36) in Nuoro, 2,597 (+36)) in Sassari.
Puglia, 180 cases and 2 deaths
Today in Puglia there is an increase in new positive cases in Covid-19. They are 180 compared to 136 yesterday, in the presence, however, of a significant increase and record of tests, 5,588, a figure never before reached, compared to just 2,433 yesterday. Two deaths were also reported: one in the province of Bari and the other in the province of Taranto. Yesterday 6 were dead. The data were prepared in the daily epidemiological bulletin released by the Region, based on information from the director of the Department of Health Promotion, Vito Montanaro. Of the 180 positives, 92 refer to the province of Bari, 1 to the province of Brindisi, 18 to the province of Bat, 40 to the province of Foggia, 7 to the province of Lecce, 18 to the province of Taranto, 2 cases with unknown province of residence, 2 cases outside the region. The total number of deaths is 616. Since the beginning of the emergency, 461,971 tests have been carried out. 5,235 patients (+93 compared to yesterday, a considerable number) and 3,998 currently positive cases (+85) were recovered, of which 333 were hospitalized (+7) and 3,665 at home (+78). Of the current positives, 0.6% are hospitalized in intensive care and 7.8% in other services. The total of positive cases of Covid in Puglia since the beginning of the emergency is 9,849, divided as follows: 3,995 in the province of Bari; 914 in the province of Bat; 804 in the province of Brindisi; 2,407 in the province of Foggia; 900 in the province of Lecce; 748 in the province of Taranto, 77 attributed to residents outside the region; 4 province of unknown residence ASL prevention departments have activated all procedures for the acquisition of anamnestic and epidemiological information, with the aim of tracing close contacts.
Sicily, 334 cases and 2 deaths
There are 334 more positive cases of coronavirus in Sicily today. The data is reported in the bulletin of the Ministry of Health. There are currently 4,877 positives on the island, out of a total of 9,926 cases since the start of the pandemic. Today there are two new deaths while 137 patients recovered or were discharged.
Abruzzo, 146
146 new cases of coronavirus have been found in Abruzzo in the last hours. This is the highest figure after the regional record of 160 cases registered on March 29. They emerged from a record number of swabs: 2,877. Hospitalization and intensive care are increasing rapidly. Of the recent cases, 46 refer to the province of L’Aquila, 40 to Teramo, 37 to Chietino, 17 to Pescarese and four people residing outside the region, while controls are carried out for two of the origin. The new patients are between 3 and 96 years old.
The positives under 19 years old are 27: 7 in the province of L’Aquila, one in the province of Pescara, 6 in the province of Chieti and 13 in the province of Teramo. The current positives for the virus are 147 more and amount to 1,679: 146 patients (+9 compared to yesterday) are hospitalized in non-intensive care; 15 (+4) in intensive care, while the other 1518 (+134) are in home isolation with active surveillance by the local health authorities. The healed are 3,153 (-1). There are no recent deaths: the death toll is 488. The regional total of patients affected by Covid-19 amounts to 5,320.
Umbria, 136
Leap ahead of Covid hospitalized in Umbrian hospitals, it went from 70 to 79 on the last day, 11 of which in intensive care (more than two compared to yesterday). This is what the Region’s website reports. In the last 24 hours, another 136 new cases have emerged, 3,608 in total, compared to the 3,035 swabs analyzed that also resulted in 15 new ones recovered. No new deaths have been reported, 90 remain, and current positives thus amount to 1,496, yesterday 1,375.
Calabria, 44
There are 44, less than yesterday (-9), new cases of coronavirus in Calabria compared to almost double the number of swabs processed in the last 24 hours, 2,383 against 1,228. The total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic amounts to 2,388 of the 224,137 subjects tested to date for a total of 226,243 swabs performed. Active cases are 798 (+25). Stable patients in resuscitation (1) and infectious diseases (42), while in home isolation there are 755 people (-25). The cured are 1,486 (+19) while the victims are 104. The confirmed cases today are divided: Cosenza: 9 of which 5 are attributable to a new outbreak in Celico and 4 are migrants from Amantea; Catanzaro 13; Reggio Calabria 22. This was announced by the Calabria Region newsletter. Territorially, since the beginning of the epidemic, positive cases have been distributed to: Catanzaro: 84 active cases (17 in ward; 1 in intensive care; 66 in home isolation); 296 closed cases (262 recovered, 34 deceased). Cosenza: 152 active cases (10 on the ward; 142 in home isolation); 558 cases closed (522 recovered, 36 deaths). Reggio Calabria: 316 active cases (15 in ward; 301 in home isolation); 377 closed cases (356 recovered, 21 deceased). Crotone: 7 active cases (7 in home isolation); 146 cases closed (140 recovered, 6 deceased). Vibo Valentia: 27 active cases (27 in home isolation); 101 cases closed (95 recovered, 6 deceased). Another Region or Foreign State: 212 active cases (212 in home isolation); 112 cases closed (111 recovered, 1 deceased). Since the last survey, a total of 789 people have registered on the Calabria Region portal to communicate their presence in the regional territory.
Basilicata, two dead in 24 hours
They were guests of two nursing homes, in Marsicovetere and Brienza (Potenza), the two people who died in the last hours from the coronavirus in Basilicata, where the number of victims since the beginning of the epidemic has risen to 37. In the bulletin Daily Update published by the regional working group, it is also reported that yesterday eight positive cases of the 1,201 swabs analyzed were found. In addition, four cures were also recorded. Currently, 401 people residing in Basilicata are positive and 34 are hospitalized in the Potenza and Matera hospitals (none in intensive care). Since the start of the health emergency in Basilicata, 455 people have been recovered and 83,481 swabs have been examined, of which 82,398 were negative.
