The new infections on Sunday, October 11, are down compared to yesterday. However, the figures are not encouraging. In 24 hours they were registered 5,456 new cases of coronavirus and 26 deaths (yesterday 29), bringing the total number of victims to 36,166. These are the numbers compared to 104,658 swabs, exactly 28,000 less than yesterday. This is what we read in the bulletin of the Ministry of Health and Civil Protection that speaks of a total of 239,709 (+1,184) discharged / cured, while the current positives are 79,075.
To date there are 4,519 hospitalized with symptoms, of which 420 are in intensive care (30 more units compared to the previous day), while there were 74,136 people in home isolation. Lombardy is confirmed as the region where, in the last 24 hours, the highest number of new cases (1,032) has been registered, followed by Campania (633), Tuscany (517), Veneto (438), Piedmont (409) and Liguria (386).
