This is what the agents of the Treviso Police Headquarters and the Treviso Provincial Command discovered, intervening on Saturday night during an extraordinary control carried out on the night from Saturday to Sunday at the “Oxygen” in Viale della Repubblica in Villorba.
The control, carried out at around 12:30 a.m., revealed a situation of considerable danger both from the point of view of health and public safety, due to the overcrowding of customers with respect to the real capacity of the venue and the proven structural inadequacy of the same. The breaches found in violation of the anti-COVID regulatory provisions made it necessary to immediately interrupt the administrative activity and the temporary closure of the business to avoid the continuation or reiteration of the violation of the national and regional protocols and guidelines, as required by the current provisions .
“Serious and dangerous they turned out –read a statement– also the non-compliance with the safety and fire prevention regulations since the place had unchecked fire extinguishers and the emergency exits and escape routes were obstructed, which would have made it dangerously difficult for the eventual emergency evacuation of the clients from the room ”. As found, those responsible for the site will be accused of various administrative offenses that provide financial penalties of several thousand euros., while more investigations and controls are being carried out to verify the criminal consequences, with special attention to the lack of authorization requirements for public safety and the usability of the facilities. Given the seriousness of the incident, the Chief of Police announces that in the coming days more rigorous controls will be carried out to ensure compliance with the distancing and anti-assembly measures, as well as the general security regulations, in public establishments the Treviso area.
