The Fire Department, with two teams, is operating in Piegaro, Cibottola area, after a strong explosion that affected a residential home. Initially the intervention referred exclusively to a gas leak, but a few minutes after a new call to the switchboard of the Provincial Command: this time there was talk of an explosion. From the first indications there could be a missing person.

UPDATE – 1:20 p.m. – The explosion caused several collapses in the house. Unfortunately, confirmation has come in that the missing person was found dead under the rubble. The help of medical personnel was useless after the discovery by the Fire Department. Death occurred on the spot.
UPDATE – 1:45 p.m. – The deceased was 44 years old (born 1976) and a resident of Città della Pieve. At the moment there is no more information on the causes of the outbreak. The carabinieri are making some finds. The house, a two-story villa, was deemed at least partially unusable. The most affected part is the ground floor: furniture completely destroyed and parts of the roof collapsed in the different internal rooms.
