According to financiers, through a complex royalty payment system in England, shareholders and administrators have hidden more than 14 million euros from the tax authorities, through a triangulation between England and the Cayman Islands.
This is O Bag, the Campodarsego company that produces custom bags, the company that ended up at the center of an investigation by the Guardia di Finanza de Padua.
According to financiers, through a complex royalty payment system in England, shareholders and administrators have hidden more than 14 million euros from the tax authorities, through a triangulation between England and the Cayman Islands.
The accusation made by the Padua prosecutor is “issuing and using invoices for non-existent transactions.”
The suspects are:
Michele zanella from ’71 by Dolo
Simone Dalla Libera Vigonza ’71
Arnaldo Quaglia ’63 by Arzergrande
Antonio Errico ’51 from Brindisi with address in Albignasego;
Alessandro Ian Enrico Quinlan, ’61, domiciled in Padua
Michele Zanella and Simone Dalla Libera are the historical partners of the company, while Arnaldo Quaglia is the administrator. Antonio Errico is the lawyer for the English company in Italy and Alessandro Ian Enrico Quinlan is a professional who works abroad.
The investigation stems from a dispute that arose between the two former partners Michele Zanella and Simone Dalla Libera. Upon settlement of this award, the financiers became aware of fiscal irregularities, thus initiating the investigation.
Also according to the indictment, the tax file, conceived with the collaboration of the English accountant of Italian origin, allowed the company to deduct, in the fiscal years 2012 to 2016, costs for unpaid royalties for an amount equivalent to 16, approximately million euros, with a total tax evasion quantified, for direct tax purposes, at more than 4 million euros.
And 4 million is the amount of the seizure made by the Guardia di Finanza, on a series of buildings, including a house in Rocca Pietore (Belluno).
The O bag group in Padua has a turnover of around 100 million and there are 358 points of sale in the world. Founded by Michele Zanella, 46, it employs more than 60 employees in Campodarsego.
