366 new cases in Sicily today, but with more than a thousand fewer swabs than yesterday

One more day in which a new record is recorded in Sicily: today was 366 new cases (yesterday there were 334).

Much less however I made swabs in just one day, they were 7,021, against the record of molecular tests carried out yesterday, when 8,340 swabs were vaccinated in 24 hours.

The current positives are around five thousand: now they are 5,187, with Sicily now eighth among Italian regions, by the number of people currently infected.

Of these, 4,691 people are in home isolation (284 more than yesterday). 26 more hospitalized than yesterday, which are now 496, of which 49 in intensive care (5 more than yesterday).

Sicily remains the fourth region of Italy by number of hospitalized in intensive care after Lazio (85), Lombardy (64) and Campania (61), while with two deaths registered today, the victims of the pandemic on the island amount to 343.

Regarding the distribution in provinces: 39 are the new infected in the Messina area. The province most affected today was Catania, with 117 new cases, followed by Palermo, with 94 new infected,

49 new positives in the Trapani area, then 26 in Syracuse and 20 in Caltanissetta. In the province of Ragusa there are 10 new cases and 5 in Agrigento and Enna.

The new cases of coronavirus throughout the country in the last 24 hours are 7,332 (yesterday they were 5,901). Deaths increased slightly, 43 today against 41 yesterday (36,289 in total). Increase in hospitalizations under the ordinary regime, 394 more (yesterday 255), for a total of 5,470, while growth in intensive care slows down, today 25 more than yesterday +62 (now 539 in total).

New record for tampons: 152,196, 40,000 more than yesterday. In Lombardy today 1,844 new cases.
