320 cases from 2,324 tests. Five ever-growing deaths and hospitalizations

TRIESTE – Today 320 new infections (2,324 swabs performed) and 5 deaths from Covid-19 have been detected in Friuli Venezia Giulia. This was announced by the Deputy Governor responsible for Health, Riccardo Riccardi. People who have tested positive for the virus in the region since the start of the pandemic totaled 15,048, of which: 4,594 in Trieste, 5,984 in Udine, 2,709 in Pordenone and 1,579 in Gorizia, in addition to 182 people from outside the region. The current cases of infection are 7929. The number of patients treated in intensive care has increased to 46 and 319 hospitalized in other wards. The total deaths amounted to 456, with the following territorial subdivision: 227 in Trieste, 113 in Udine, 104 in Pordenone and 12 in Gorizia. In today’s detail of data on Covid-19 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, the 5 deaths refer to 3 women who died in hospital (one 85-year-old from Trieste, one 73-year-old from Buttrio and one 44-year-old from Gorizia, already a cancer patient, in hospital in critical condition) and 2 men (a 97-year-old from Moruzzo and a 78-year-old from Udine) both died in the hospital. This was announced by the Deputy Governor responsible for Health of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Riccardo Riccardi. Regarding the new positivity to the virus, in the sector of nursing homes, 17 cases of people housed in regional structures were detected, while the health workers who were infected within the same structures were 3 in total. The regional health system (SSR) must register with the Health Authority of Friuli Centrale University for the Covid positivity of a doctor, 4 nurses and 2 health social workers and with the Health Authority of Giuliano Isontina University of a nurse and a social health worker. Ultimately, a person who returned from Bosnia was identified as being positive for the virus.
