Cases keep increasing Coronavirus in Italy. The total of positives since the beginning of the epidemic has increased to 319,908 (+2499 in the last 24 hours, yesterday they were 2,548). The healed are 229,970 (+1126 in the last 24 hours, yesterday they were 1,140) and the dead 35,941 (+23, yesterday they were 24). This is what emerges from today’s newsletter, friday october 2, announced by the Ministry of Health, with updated numbers on the Covid-19 emergency. In Italy there are currently 53,997 positive cases (+1,350). Of these, 3,141 are hospitalized with symptoms and 294 in intensive care, while 49,259 are in home isolation. Campania is the region that in the last 24 hours has registered the most positive cases with a boom in infections for the second day in a row, followed by Lombardy, Lazio and Piedmont, which even today have exceeded three hundred daily infections. 120,301 swabs have been made in Italy in the last 24 hours for a total of 11,572,459 since the start of the pandemic – it’s a record.
