Dramatic car crash today on the Romagna section of the A14 motorway: a young man died and seven other people were injured in a rear-end collision caused by the Crash of a truck against the car in front of him. The tragedy occurred in the late morning, around 12:30, on the road heading north, at kilometer 83, not far from the Forlì motorway exit. An articulated truck carrying wood and three cars that preceded it on the same lane intervened in the accident. At the time of the accident, road traffic in the area was stumbling along due to heavy traffic.
According to an initial reconstruction of the Traffic Police, who intervened in the place together with the medical rescuers and the firefighters, the truck driver did not notice the queue of cars in time and stopped late and gave a violent impact against a “Volkswagen T- Roc “that preceded it. A very violent impact that did not let the young victim escape, a child riding in the back seat of the vehicle that was completely destroyed. The collision also resulted in a rear-end collision: the same car the victim was riding in struck another car hard, which in turn crashed into another car.
Nellaccident on A14 injured the other two occupants of the smashed car who were transported to the hospital’s trauma center Bufalini from Cesena, but also some people who were in the second car involved, also transported to the hospital, and the truck driver. Some have been seriously injured, but fortunately none of them would be life threatening.
