2 new cases in the province of Siena, 27 in total in the southeast of Ausl

AUSL data from southeast Tuscany showed two New cases of Coronavirus more than yesterday in the province of Siena. They are in general 27 the positives in the territory of Southeast Tuscany Ausl: 15 new cases detected in the province of Arezzo and 10 cases in the province of Grosseto.

These are the data updated at 2 pm today, Saturday, August 29, related to the advance of the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic.

The cases in the province of Siena are detailed below:

1 case in the surveillance municipality of Sinalunga
a 16-year-old boy who is already in home isolation after returning from Kosovo, asymptomatic;

1 case in the surveillance municipality of Sovicille
a 24-year-old man who is already in home isolation after returning from Kosovo via Croatia, asymptomatic.

The Prevention Department in consideration of the cases that have arisen in recent days has increased the activity of tracing close contacts. Such activity highlighted 5 contacts for the cases detected in the province of Siena, 51 contacts for the Arezzo cases and 16 for the Grosseto cases who were immediately placed in solitary confinement. All subjects were subjected to a swab from which the Ausl is awaiting the results.

Currently on the territory in southeastern Tuscany are still Asl 318 people tested positive on the swab. 2,298 Currently, people are in home isolation due to a known case contact or because they come from other countries. The prisoners are two in the infectious diseases department of the Misericordia hospital in Grosseto and 5 in the infectious diseases department of the San Donato hospital in Arezzo.
