Two dead and a dozen injured after the collision between a bus and a car. The accident happened this morning in the Trapani area. The driver of a Ford Fiesta, a doctor from Castelvetrano, Leonardo Denaro, 66, lost his life. The other victim is a passenger in the Autoservizi Salemi vehicle, a 45-year-old health worker, Ivan Genna, who was returning to Marsala after a night of work at the Civic in Palermo.
The impact occurred along state highway 119, in the section that connects Santa Ninfa and Castelvetrano. For reasons yet to be determined, the two vehicles went on a collision course. The driver of the Palermo-Marsala bus, in an attempt to avoid the accident, swerved abruptly and went off the road. The money, trapped between the sheets of his car that ended up on a cliff, was pulled from the cabin by firefighters and entrusted to 118.

The 66-year-old doctor, who was rushed to Vittorio Emanuele II in Trapani, died shortly before arriving at the hospital. Instead, Genna died shortly after in the emergency room. The state highway, at kilometer 51, was temporarily closed to traffic in both directions. Municipal police were also on site to conduct the surveys and reconstruct the exact dynamics.
