187 new positive cases in the newsletter of October 22

The coronavirus is very scary in Calabria. There are 187 new positive cases in the region. These are the numbers contained in the bulletin issued today by the Region.

246,034 subjects were analyzed for a total of 248,178 swabs performed (multiple tests can be performed on the same subject).

The people who tested positive for the coronavirus are 3,286 (+187 compared to yesterday), the negative 242,748. These are the daily data related to the Covid-19 epidemic reported by the Department of Health Protection.

Cases province by province

Territorially, since the beginning of the epidemic, positive cases are distributed as follows:

• Cosenza: ACTIVE CASES 387 (25 in ward; 2 in intensive care, 360 in home isolation); CASES CLOSED 614 (577 recovered, 37 deceased).
• Catanzaro: ACTIVE CASES 180 (24 in ward; 4 in intensive care; 152 in home isolation); CASES CLOSED 313 (279 recovered, 34 deceased).
• Crotone: ACTIVE CASES 25 (25 in home isolation); CASES CLOSED 149 (143 recovered, 6 deceased).
• Vibo Valentia: ACTIVE CASES 29 (3 hospitalized, 26 in home isolation); CASES CLOSED 119 (113 recovered, 6 deceased).
• Reggio Calabria: ACTIVE CASES 687 (34 in ward; 2 in intensive care; 651 in home isolation); CASES CLOSED 437 (416 recovered, 21 deceased).
• Another Region or Foreign State: ACTIVE CASES 229 (229 in home isolation); CASES CLOSED 117 (116 recovered, 1 deceased).

The deceased person in the Cosenza intensive care unit who was a resident outside the region is also included.

Hospitalized patients from the environment outside the region and migrants were included in the columns of the respective rooms; of the 24 admissions to the Catanzaro hospital, 5 refer to non-residents. Of the 25 admitted to the AO of Cosenza, three are non-residents; the patient discharged from Cosenza was included among those cured in the environment outside the region.

Today’s cases

The confirmed cases today are divided as follows: Cosenza: 82, Catanzaro 28, Crotone 0, Vibo Valentia 5, Reggio Calabria 65. Another foreign region or state 7.

Since the last survey, a total of 987 people registered on the Calabria Region portal to communicate their presence in the regional territory. The count also includes the two patients from Bergamo transferred to Catanzaro, while the numbers of the contagion received after the communication of the data to Civil Protection.
