There are 1470 cases of Covid registered in Apulia according to the Epidemiological Bulletin of December 30, 2020. The figure refers to 11,121 tests carried out and represents a marked increase in infections compared to the last days.

Regarding the figures, however, the regional councilor for Health, Pier Luigi Lopalco, reassures: “The high number of cases registered today – he says – is certainly linked to the recovery of surveillance activities after the Christmas holidays. 11,000 swabs were made. However, it is a warning sign that confirms an intense viral circulation in the region, which requires a level of maximum caution and attention ”.

In total, there are 582 new cases in the province of Bari, 38 in the province of Brindisi, 188 in the province of Bat, 256 in the province of Foggia, 148 in the province of Lecce, 248 in the province of Taranto, 5 residents outside the region, 5 cases in the province of unknown residence.

23 deaths were recorded: 8 in the province of Bari, 6 in the province of BAT, 2 in the province of Brindisi, 1 in the province of Foggia, 4 in the province of Lecce, 2 in the province of Taranto.

Since the beginning of the emergency, 1,033,478 tests have been carried out. To date, 34,112 patients are cured, while 52,740 are currently positive cases. The number of people hospitalized amounted to 1,625, a slight increase from yesterday.

The total number of positive Covid cases in Puglia is 89,303, divided as follows: 34,429 in the province of Bari, 10,274 in Bat, 6,393 in the province of Brindisi, 19,718 in the province of Foggia, 6,988 in the province of Lecce, 10,890 in the province of Taranto, 516 attributed to residents outside the region, 95 province of unknown residence. ASL prevention departments have activated all procedures for the acquisition of anamnestic and epidemiological information, with the aim of tracing close contacts.
