1,452 infections in 24 hours, 100,000 tampons. 12 victims – Last minute

(ANSA) – ROME, SEPTEMBER 16 – There are 1,452 infected with Covid in the last 24 hours, an increase compared to 1,229 yesterday but identified with a greater number of tampons: more than 100,000 compared to 80,000 on Tuesday. The total number of infected, including victims and cured, amounts to 291,442 while that of discharged and cured is 215,265, 620 more than yesterday. The increase in deaths is also increasing: 12 in one day, compared to 9 yesterday, for a total of 35,645. No region has zero cases. Current positives have exceeded 40,000, a number never higher since the beginning of June (on the 2nd, for the first time in months, the number of patients dropped to 39,893).

According to data from the Ministry of Health, current patients are in fact 40,532 with an increase of 820 compared to Tuesday.

The number of hospitalized in ordinary wards also increases, 63 more than yesterday for a total of 2,285, and in intensive care: there are now 207 patients, 6 more than yesterday. In contrast, there is an increase of 751 people in home isolation, which to date is 38,040. (HANDLE).
