Covid Italia, today’s newsletter, January 22, 2021. I am 13,633 new cases of Covid in Italy in the last 24 hours, for a total of 2,441,854 since the start of the emergency. There are 264,728 tests for the coronavirus (molecular and antigenic) performed in Italy in the last 24 hours. Yesterday, according to data from the Ministry of Health, there were 267,567. The positivity rate is 5.1% (yesterday it was 5.2%). There are 2,390 patients hospitalized in intensive care, 23 in the balance between entries and exits compared to yesterday. Daily admissions, according to data from the Ministry of Health, are 144. In ordinary wards, 21,691 patients are hospitalized, a decrease of 354 units compared to Wednesday.

Lombardy
There are 1,969 new Coronavirus infections in Lombardy according to data for today, January 22, from the Civil Protection bulletin published on the website of the Ministry of Health. There are another 58 deaths in the region that, pending the outcome of the appeal, is in the red zone. 34,056 swabs were made in the last 24 hours. The total number of cases since the start of the pandemic has risen to 522,364, while 26,518 people have lost their lives in the region. Sicily
A total of 1,355 new cases of Covid-19 have been registered in Sicily in the last hours, where the total number of positives rises to 47,289. Emilia romagna
There are 1,347 new cases of coronavirus positivity, found in Emilia-Romagna in the last 24 hours on the basis of 21,709 swabs, including molecular and antigenic. There are 43 dead. Veneto
Veneto has registered 1,194 Covid infections in the last 24 hours and 75 deaths. The newsletter of the Region informs it. The pressure on hospitals continues to fall: Covid patients hospitalized in non-critical areas are 2,416 (-49), those in intensive care are 321 (-12).
Lazio

Campania
In Campania, the positive rate: the examined swabs is increasing slightly, which today increases to 7.99% (yesterday it was 7.8%). Apulia

Yesterday, in 11,524 swabs, there were 1,275 cases of positivity. Today there are 31 dead: 9 in the province of Bari, 7 in the province of Foggia, 8 in the province of Lecce, 7 in the province of Taranto. Yesterday there were 26. The total number is 2,975.
Since the beginning of the emergency, 1,230,116 tests have been carried out. 56,611 patients are cured (yesterday there were 55,388) and currently 54,547 positive cases (yesterday 54,784), in continuous decline. The data on hospitalized patients are also good: 1,480 compared to 1,497 yesterday. The total of positive cases of Covid in Puglia since the beginning of the pandemic is 114,133, divided as follows: 43,741 in the province of Bari; 12,908 in the province of Bat; 8,230 in the province of Brindisi; 24,292 in the province of Foggia; 9,300 in the province of Lecce; 14,990 in the province of Taranto; 569 attributed to residents outside the region; 103 province of unknown residence.
Friuli Venezia Giulia
Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia in 6,126 molecular swabs, 356 new infections have been detected with a positive percentage of 5.81%. In addition, 1,311 rapid antigenic tests have been performed, of which 96 cases (7.32%) were detected. There are 21 deaths to which are added 2 deaths that occurred on January 12 and 13, 2021. There are 61 hospitalizations in intensive care units while those in other departments drop to 669. This was announced by the Deputy Governor in charge of Health, Riccardo Riccardi. The total of deaths amounted to 2,206, with the following territorial subdivision: 517 in Trieste, 1,041 in Udine, 499 in Pordenone and 149 in Gorizia. The totally cured are 47,437, the clinically cured amount to 1,421, while the number of people in isolation decreases and today there are 11,360. Since the start of the pandemic in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a total of 63,154 people have tested positive with the following territorial division: 12,886 in Trieste, 27,775 in Udine, 14,031 in Pordenone, 7,677 in Gorizia and 785 from outside the region.
Liguria
There have been 313 new coronavirus positives in Liguria in the last 24 hours compared to 4190 swabs performed. These are the data published by the Liguria working group for the covid emergency in the usual daily bulletin. Currently 676 patients are hospitalized, 21 less than yesterday, of which 61 are in intensive care units. The number of deaths recorded in the last 24 hours was in the Liguria region of 20 in total. There are 5054 people in active surveillance at the moment.
Calabria
In Calabria, to date, 469,935 subjects have been tested for a total of 494,764 swabs performed (further tests can be performed on the same subject). The people who tested positive for the coronavirus are 30,459 (+368 compared to yesterday), 439,476 negative. These are the daily data related to the Covid-19 epidemic reported by the Department of Health Protection, which records 278 hospitalized (-19), 24 people in intensive care (-2), 19,795 recovered / discharged (+ 224) and 558 dead (+6).
