the bulletin of Tuesday, December 29, published by the Ministry of Health, reports 11,212 infections, 17,044 recovered and 659 deaths. The latter is the highest figure recorded since last December 18, when 674 deaths were recorded compared to 18 thousand cases: unfortunately, two weeks later the real situation has not changed, with Italy inexplicably still having the highest number of victims of Covid despite heavy restrictions. In the last few days there had been a net decrease in deaths, ranging from 261 to 459, but only because during the holidays, between swabs and late updates, the bulletin was not very reliable. In addition, it is worth noting a significant increase in admissions to intensive care for the day: 256 have been registered in the last 24 hours, although the balance is negative (-16) due to high mortality. Currently 2,549 places are occupied in intensive care while those in the Covid rooms are 23,662 (-270 compared to yesterday). The only good news is that the second shipment of 470,000 doses of the vaccine is already on its way tonight.
