MET ÉIREANN HAS issued three separate yellow status weather advisories that will go into effect tomorrow.
A yellow state rain warning will apply from 7 am to 11 pm for Kildare, Laois, Longford, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo.
“Heavy and persistent rains are expected on Sunday with totals of 25-40mm, higher totals in mountainous areas,” Met Éireann said. “This can result in flooding of some rivers as well as flooding of the surface.”
A Status Yellow wind advisory will also apply for Donegal, Mayo and Sligo from 6 am to 9 pm tomorrow. This can bring average wind speeds of 50 to 65 km / h and gusts of 90 to 100 km / h.
Another Status Yellow wind advisory for Galway, Clare and Kerry will take effect from noon tomorrow and will last until 10pm. Similar wind speeds are expected.
Tonight, the forecaster said rain will spread from the northeast across much of Ulster and the east with a few strong gusts. Elsewhere it will be mostly dry, with some scattered showers in the west and southwest.

Tomorrow it will be rainy and windy in much of the country, with maximum temperatures reaching between 11 and 14 degrees.
Looking ahead, a cool and windy week is forecast with rain and sunshine throughout the week.
