Dunnes Stores has issued an urgent recall on a batch of popular turkey products.

The ad was issued for the Irish Turkey Breast Crown with Prime Wings.

The Irish Food Safety Authority shared a recall of the product saying it may be improperly cooked due to an incorrect weight declaration on the package.

The notices of withdrawal from the point of sale will be displayed in the stores supplied with the batch involved.

The batch affected by the recall are the 1.5 kg products originating in Ireland with an approval number of IE 807 EC and an expiration date of 05-Apr-21.

Experts cautioned that if customers follow cooking instructions based on the declared weight on the label, the product may not cook properly and therefore not safe to eat.

Consumers are advised not to ingest the involved batch.

It comes after the Irish Food Safety Authority also urgently recalled five more batches of a popular baby food product sold in Ireland.

Supervalu and Tesco customers are among those affected by the alerts.

Yesterday, the FSAI recalled three batches of SMA Wysoy Infant Formula Powder.

Nestlé UK and Ireland are recalling some batches of the SMA soy protein-based infant formula, Wysoy, as some cans have been found to contain pieces of blue plastic from a broken spoon.

The items affected by the recall were the 800g cans with batch codes 025057651Z, 025057652Z and 025157651Z.

However, another five batches have now been urgently recalled due to containment.

These are the 800g cans:

024957651Z – expiration date before September 5, 2022

015757651Z – best before June 5, 2022

000957651Z – Best before date before January 8, 2022

928957651Z – Best before date before October 15, 2021

923357651Z- expiration date before August 20, 2021

Point of sale recall notices will be displayed in the stores that sold the lots involved.
