The Guinness World Record holder for the oldest female solo parachute jump has died at 88

Dilys Price of Cardiff was 80 when she achieved her solo skydiving record in 2013.

After completing her first jump at age 54, Ms. Price completed more than 1,139 solo parachute jumps around the world.

Using her dance background, she also founded the Touch Trust charity, which offers creative movement programs for people with learning disabilities and other vulnerable groups in the community.

His nephew Mark James Parry paid tribute to him on social media.

She said on Twitter: “Very, very sad that my aunt @DilysPriceOBE passed away. She touched many with her amazing personality and truly lived life to the fullest. An inspiration to everyone. Really grateful to be able to call her my aunt. I will miss you.”

Meanwhile, Cardiff Metropolitan University, where Ms Price was an honorary member, called her a “force for good.”

The university said on Twitter: “We are saddened to learn of the passing of Dilys Price. An honorary member and true friend of the University, Dilys was a force for good and an inspiration to all of us. We send our condolences to the family.”
