While Apple’s focus is on the next big breakthrough, iOS 14, while adding sparkle to the current iOS 13 release, the company hasn’t abandoned iOS 12 users yet. A while back, the Cupertino giant released iOS 12.4.7 for users around the world and if you have a device like iPhone 6 then you can go ahead and take iOS 12.4.8 over the air as well.
Before you get excited thinking that this is a monster update with new features, know that this is nothing more than a bug fix version. You can even see some performance related improvements here and there, nothing special but important.
Download iOS 12.4.8 Over the Air
Downloading the new update is quite simple. Connect to a Wi-Fi network and make sure you have 50% or more of battery remaining. Follow the steps below:
- Launch the setup app
- Navigate to General> Software Update
- Tap download and install when iOS 12.4.8 update appears
The whole process will not take that long. You’d better install the update just before bed so you can wake up to a new software release the next morning.
