Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – The Wuhan, China government will conduct a corona virus test over the next 10 days on around 11 million residents amid fears of a second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Government-owned news agency, PaperThey reported that authorities announced the test plan in an ’emergency notification’ on Monday (5/11).
“After going through a series of studies, it was decided to conduct a ’10-day corona trial battle’ to identify new cases of coronavirus in Wuhan,” the report said. CNN.
“Each district will make arrangements for a nucleic acid test plan in its jurisdiction over a 10-day period.”
This massive testing effort was carried out to respond to reports of six new cases of the corona virus that reappeared in Wuhan last week. The report was the first after Wuhan recorded zero crown cases in the past month.
Local authorities report that the five new cases come from the same housing complex. One of the patients is known as the wife of an 89-year-old patient who became infected with the corona virus the day before.

“Currently, the task of preventing and controlling a pandemic in this city is still very heavy. We must firmly assume the risk of a new case returning,” the local authority wrote in a statement, citing Tight times.
All new cases are classified as infections with no clinical symptoms such as fever. So far, the number of cases of corona infection without symptoms is unknown because new positive results are known after testing.

Until now, Worldometers recorded that China had 82,919 cases of coronavirus with 4,633 deaths and 78,171 patients declared cured.
The coronavirus pandemic caused China to face criticism from various countries, including the United States and Britain, for allegedly underestimating the virus and hiding information when it first appeared in Wuhan.
