Nining emphasized that this demonstration is necessary so that the people are not increasingly oppressed and silenced by members of the council and the government.

“Whether we like it or not, let’s take a position because we are in danger. If it is not anticipated, there will be more oppression and silence against the people,” he said.

“We will transmit a firm position urging the cancellation [RUU Omnibus Law Ciptaker]. We will carry out joint movements with various groups with a common struggle ”, he added.

On the same occasion, a representative of the Gejayan Summoning People’s Alliance (ARB), Revo, said that his party would hold a large demonstration to reject the ratification of the Ciptaker Omnibus bill at the Gejayan crossing, Yogyakarta on Thursday (10/8) .

According to him, the large demonstration took place after his party held small-scale demonstrations on October 6 and 7 first.

“Demonstration against the Omnibus Law for three days [pada] 6, 7 and 8. But 6 and 7 were carried out by friends in each community with the aim of calling friends who had just returned or returned to Yogyakarta. Then we held small demonstrations on campus and other places, ”Revo said.
