KOMPAS.com – Ngatinem, a 70-year-old grandmother, was found abandoned on the side of the road around the Code River Dam in Sorogenen Hamlet, Timbulharjo Sub-district, Kapanewon Sewon, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, on Wednesday (9/2/2021 ) afternoon.

According to Sorogenen Hamlet director Irvan Muhammad, when he arrived at the home of Ngatinem or often called Mbah Slamet, the residents had already been eating and drinking.

According to Irvan, Ngatinem’s grandmother’s condition Poor grandmother had difficulty walking.

Then when asked where she came from, Grandma Ngatinem said she came from Sobayan Mredo, Bangunjarjo, Sewon, Bantul.

However, after registering at that address, Ngatinem was not a local resident.

“After verifying the address in question, it turns out that he is not a Sobayan resident. In fact, they often live in the village and there are no families there,” Irvan said when contacted by Kompas.com by phone. on Thursday (11/2/2021).

Furthermore, according to information from Bantul Social Service, it turns out that Ngatinem had experienced the same, was left on the side of the road and was driven by the Sewon District Social Welfare Worker (TKSK).

While awaiting confirmation from the family, Ngatinem is currently entrusted to the Hafara Home, Trimulya, Jetis.

Meanwhile, Irvan said, one of the residents named Thamrin said he saw Ngatinem being pulled out of a green car.

After that, the car ran away. Local residents caught up but to no avail.

Meanwhile, Sewon Police Chief Kompol Suyanto admitted to receiving this information.

His group is checking whether Ngatimen or Mbah Slamet were really abandoned by their family or not.

The reason is that there is information that a woman who is in her 70s often walks to various areas in and around Sewon.

“We are still looking for information. I don’t have the courage to say it was discarded,” Suyanto said when contacted by phone on Thursday (11/2/2021).
