Jakarta –
Sports athlete Winda Lunardi (Winda Earl) spoke about the 20 billion rupee passbook that is said to be in the possession of the director of the Maybank Cipulir branch, Albert. Winda admitted that she opened a savings account with a type of checking account, so she did not get a savings book and ATM card from the start.
“For my part, as I have said from the beginning, this news came up, the type of savings I opened was a checking account. So about ATMs, savings books, we never got it from the beginning when we opened an account, ”Winda told reporters at a press conference at the Falatehan Hotel, South Jakarta, on Monday (9/11/2020).
Winda said the current account type does not require a passbook or an ATM. Although Winda said, along the way, the checking accounts received so far were suspected of being fake.
“So this is also the issue, but it is true that I did open a checking account, so it was normal that the checking account did not accept it, that I and my family know. I did not accept ATM cards or savings books because it is a checking account, and that means we do not accept it at that time. We believe that the checking account sent from Maybank is genuine, but it turns out that what we have received so far is suspected to be false, “explained Winda.
Winda said that as long as she had a checking account at Maybank, she was unaware of the transactions on the account. However, Winda said that until now she had never been suspicious because she thought the checking account was a genuine account.
“So logically all kinds of transactions that happen on it, we never know, because until now we only accept bank statements that we consider genuine,” he said.
Winda revealed that at that time she filled in her personal details with her KTP. Even then, he was accompanied by his parents.
“Yes, I must complete the KTP data myself because I was accompanied by my parents at the time,” he said.
Winda said her party only got a passbook and ATM after discovering there was a problem. He finally tried to make a mutation from 2015 to the current period.
“I just found out when this problem arose, when my mother wanted to withdraw money and the money was gone. Now I want to request a transfer from 2015 to the current period, now I have just been told that I have to have an ATM card. well, I finally made an ATM card, “he said.
As previously reported, lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea revealed that the suspect in the case of the alleged loss of Winda’s 20 billion rupee savings balance at PT Maybank Indonesia Tbk had the victim’s savings book and ATM.
This information, Hotman said, was disclosed by the suspect in the police investigation report (BAP).
“The question is you, as the owner of the money, why are you leaving your ATM card in someone else’s hand? That is one that investigators are investigating,” Hotman said at a news conference today.
Based on the BAP, the suspect admitted to having had the suspect’s savings book and ATM since the suspect’s account was opened.
Meanwhile, Maybank Indonesia Head of National Anti-Fraud and Financial Crime Compliance Nehemia Andiko said that Winda had never questioned the suspect’s savings passbook and ATM card.
“The client never complained, never claimed to have,” he said.
