YOGYAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko denied having made threatening words to the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (USA).
According to him, the statement made was just a dialogue.
“Who threatened who threatened? Not. someone was threatening him, “he said when meeting in Grha Suara Muhammadiyah, Ngampilan, Yogyakarta, after meeting with Haedar Nashir, on Friday (2/10/2020).

He refused if the statement made by the United States was a threat, it was limited to inviting dialogue.
“It is not a threat. Dialogue, where is the threat? Dialogue, online dialogue,” he added.
As previously reported, the Presidium of the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (WE) Din Syamsuddin hopes that the government can be more open in accepting criticism from all parties, including WE.
According to him, the delivery of aspirations by the public, in this case the expression of opinions in public, is a form of freedom of opinion regulated in the Constitution of 1945.
“Is it our criticism and correction that creates instability or is it a government policy that is unwise, anti-critical, and does not want to listen to the aspirations of the people that really contributed to creating that instability?” Din said in a written statement received Kompas.com, Friday (02/10/2020).

Former PP President General Muhammadiyah relayed this in response to the statement by Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko, who previously reminded the United States not to disturb national political stability.
Din also asked Moeldoko not to make a threatening tone in response to criticism expressed by the United States and other community groups about the policies taken by the government.
“In today’s modern era of democracy, the arrogance of power, repressive and authoritarian attitudes are outdated. For the United States, more challenges and threats will become a trigger to remain friendly in the fight,” he said.
Previously, on several occasions WE often criticize the government, especially in terms of handling Covid-19, eradicating corruption and continuing the discussion of the Job Creation Bill in the midst of a pandemic situation.
We believe that a number of policies adopted by the government are not entirely correct. For example, in the discussion of the job creation bill between the government and DPR, various clauses stipulated in the bill are considered to be onerous for workers and more profitable for employers.
