Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Vice President of the Covid-19 Management Committee and the General of National Economic Recovery TNI (Ret.) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan asked the Covid-19 Management Working Group together with TNI, Polri, Satpol PP to Babinsa and Babinkamtibmas that use applications to monitor the implementation of health protocols.

With this application, service personnel in the field can provide reports using integrated systems and applications and integrate with existing Covid-19 cluster layers. This system, he continued, is also connected to CCTV from DKI Jakarta.

“Then later on, Jakarta will be the first model to implement this system,” Luhut said in an official statement quoted on Tuesday (10/6/2020).

In two weeks, Luhut addresses the Ministry of Coordination of the Marves team of experts together with the Covid-19 Working Group to finish building a Covid-19 reporting and monitoring application system based on digital technology. He said that once the system is completed, each Pangdam and Kapolda will be given a minimum target for daily operations to achieve.

“We will provide technical guidance to PP from Pangdam, Kapolda and Satpol. We will judge which one is the best to do the job because this will be monitored,” Luhut said.

In addition, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investments asked the respective governors (for satpol PP), regional commanders and regional police chiefs in 8 provinces (DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, South Kalimantan, Sumatra del North, Sulawesi, Bali) then Aceh and Riau provinces were added to immediately implement a behavior change monitoring system. This system was developed by a team with the working group.

“Other than that, I ask that the justifiable and comprehensive operations be carried out to be more massive and focused, especially targeting the crowded places and the Covid-19 cluster area,” Luhut said.

The Governor of DKI, Anies Baswedan, the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, and the Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, agreed with Luhut’s recommendation.
